India
In India, collaborative funds are bringing together a diverse set of partners—including government, corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives, philanthropists, and civil society organizations—to drive collective impact. Some of the earliest and most effective collaboratives have engaged local and state government from the outset, enabling them to reach scale and achieve lasting results. While the COVID-19 pandemic was a catalyst for their rapid growth, many of these platforms are now evolving to address long-term and systemic challenges, such as advancing gender equality and creating opportunities for marginalized communities.
